At Retro Sweet, we want to ensure that the gift you order for that special someone (even if it's you) arrives in good condition and on time.
We all love chocolates and candy, but they have to stay cool. While other candy providers are really understandably hesitant to ship items that melt in the heat, we aren't afraid! We have invested in the best materials and policies to mitigate this risk. Every single order with a perishable food item will follow this policy:
1. Each candy box will be placed inside a sealed protective thermal envelope.
2. Depending on the size of the candy box order, 2 gel ice packs minimum will be placed in sealed bags with it, that are also placed inside the thermal envelope and inside another shipping box.
3. We would like to use ground shipping and save you money when we can, but that only works certain months of the year in specific areas of the U.S. During Spring and Summer months (Apr-Oct), we will have a blanket policy of 3-day, 2-day or next day shipping to greatly mitigate the risk of melted candy or chocolate. If you are in a year-round warm state, we highly recommend the 2-day service or quicker. We also will not ship candy boxes on Thursdays and Fridays (unless there is next-day service selected) to avoid them being held in warm trucks or warehouses over the weekend.
4. We use USPS, UPS and FedEx so we have multiple options for you depending on your cost and desired delivery time.
For all orders that don't include any candy or chocolate, we package carefully in protective shipping boxes or padded envelopes for safe delivery. We offer free ground shipping above $49. USPS, UPS and FedEx are options for faster service as well. If anything from your order comes to you damaged or incorrect, please visit our Return Policy to start the return process.
